Messala Corvinus, Name mehrer röm. Consuln u. Feldherrn; einer derselben, Marcus Valerius, gest. 3 n. Chr., hatte auch den Ruhm eines tüchtigen Redners und Geschichtschreibers; von seinen Geschichtsbüchern nichts, von seinen Reden nur Bruchstücke erhalten (bei Meyer »Oratorum Romanorum fragmenta«, Paris 1842).
