Reform, lat.-dtsch., Umbildung; Umänderung eines bestehenden Zustandes ohne gewaltsame Erschütterung; R.er, in England Anhänger der Partei, welche R.en will; r. iren, umbilden, verändern, verbessern; R. ator, Umbildner, Verbesserer; Urheber einer der christlichen Religionsparteien, die sich im 16. Jahrh. durch Lostrennung von der kath. Kirche bildeten, namentlich Luther, Melanchthon, Zwingli, Heinrich VIII. von England, Calvin.
