Colonnade, ein mit Säulen umgebener, wenigstens auf einer Seite offener Gang; die alte Baukunst wandte die C. viel mehr an als die heutige. Es ist übrigens nicht zu leugnen, daß die C. nur in den Südländern ihre eigentliche Anwendung findet; im Norden bedingen Wind und Wetter die Mauer.
