Thrasybulus

Thrasybulus, athen. Feldherr und Staatsmann in der 2. Hälfte des peloponnes. Krieges, Hauptgegner der oligarchischen Bestrebungen, wurde von den 30 Tyrannen verbannt, setzte sich mit Flüchtlingen in dem Kastell Phyle fest, verstärkt später im Piräus, stürzte mit Hilfe des spartan. Königs Pausanias die Oligarchie und wurde mit Recht als der Retter des athen. Staats gefeiert; er blieb 390 v. Chr. vor Aspendus.
