Strange

Strange (Strehndsch), Robert, vortrefflicher Zeichner und Kupferstecher, geb. 1723 zu Pomona auf einer der Orkadischen Inseln, bildete sich in Paris und Italien und lebte darauf in London, ward 1787 in den Ritterstand erhoben u. st. 1792. Besonders meisterhaft waren seine Stiche nach Tizian.
