Poggio (Potschio) Bracciolini (Bratsch–), geb. 1380 zu Terranuova in Toscana, war Secretär von 8 Päpsten, st. 1459 zu Florenz, einer der berühmtesten Humanisten seiner Zeit, in Schriften (Straßburg 1511–13) und im Leben manchmal lasciv; am bekanntesten ist sein Brief, den er als Augenzeuge an Leo Aretino über die Verurtheilung und Hinrichtung des Hieronymus von Prag schrieb.
