Ohm, Georg Simon, geb. 1789 zu Erlangen, gest. 1849 als Professor zu München, Physiker, berühmt durch seine Untersuchungen über die galvanische Electricität. Schriften: »Die galvanische Kette«. Nürnb. 1827; »Beiträge zur Molecularphysik«. München 1849; »Grundzüge der Physik«, ebendaselbst 1854.
