Mouflon oder Muflon (Ovis musimon), Schafart auf den Höhen der Gebirge von Corsika und Sardinien, etwas größer als unser Schaf, im Sommer rothbraun, im Winter schwärzlich, an Schnauze, Bauch, Hinterbacken und Schwanzseiten ganz weiß. die Rückenlinie dunkel. Es sind plumpe u. wilde Thiere, die in Heerden auf den wildesten Gebirgsgräten sich aufhalten, daher ihre Jagd sehr beschwerlich ist.
