Lincoln (Linkönn), engl. Grafschaft an der Nordsee, vom Trent durchflossen, 1271/2 QM. groß mit 400000 E., deren Haupterwerb Ackerbau und Viehzucht ist; das ungehörnte L., Schaf liefert die feinste engl. Welle. Die Hauptstadt L. hat 14000 E., schöne Kathedrale, röm. Alterthümer.
