Kidron, Cedron, d.i. trüb, schmutzig, heißt 1) ein Bach mit engem und tiefem Bette, an der Ostseite Jerusalems, zwischen der Stadt und dem Oelberge; 21 das Thal. durch welches dieser jetzt völlig ausgetrocknete Bach floß; 3) K., auch Gedor, eine Gränzstadt Judäaʼs dem Meere zu, welche nur bei I. Makk. 15, 39 und 16, 9 erwähnt wird.
