Insel St. Thomas, einige Zeit Beamter, lebte von 1809 als Privatgelehrter, st. 1844; sein bedeutendstes Werk ist die Geschichte des Ministers Struensee, Kopenhagen 1824, und deutsch mit Zusätzen 1825–27. Sein Bruder Johannes H., geb. 1780, dän. Staatsbeamter, hat sich durch juridische Handbücher bemerklich gemacht.
