Akropolites, byzant. Staatsmann, von Michael Paläologus auf das Concil von Lyon geschickt (1245) erklärte er sich für die Lehre der röm. kath. Kirche; st. 1282. Er schrieb eine Geschichte der Zeit von 1204–1262.
